For those of you who love Tuscany’s pecorino cheese and olive oil and are enjoying holiday time in Italy, I may design private food tours that feature the best cheese and olive oil produced in Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza. Together we may visit family-run cheese farms full of sheep and spectacular views of the beautiful Tuscan countryside, discover how pecorino cheese is made step by step, and taste a variety of cheese like raviggiolo, ricotta, fresh, semiaged, aged and riserva pecorinos. Instead of just a tasting you may choose to have a complete cheese-themed lunch. During the day tour we willalso visit a local oil mill that produces the purest organic extra-virgin olive oil of Tuscany, learning how olive oil is born from tree to bottle – and of course we will taste it on bruschetta!
